Thank you so much for taking the time to setup this tribute to your son Mikey.   It touched a void in my heart that I have been trying to avoid.   IN a small way, your site helps to keep him not only alive, but touching the lives of others as well.  Please accept my deepest sympathies.   No one should have to suffer the loss of thier child.  

Six years ago, my own daughter died.  She was six years old at the time.  She too suffered from JDMS.  We are not sure if her death was directly related to her JDMS or if other issues played into it. 

Thank you once again for sharing the story of your son.  His life has touched mine.

i am so sorry for your loss. i have a beautiful 2 year old son my own self.  i dont see how you got through it all. i couldnt even imagine losing my baby boy. he is the light of my life. you are so brave and i will keep you in my prayers always. i was just browsing through the babies online webs and noticed that ryan was born in july 2004 just like my little boy. that is how i came upon this website. mikey was very beautiful and so full of life and smiles.  as i looked through his pictures i just cried my eyes out. he reminds me so much of my little boy. like i said before you are so brave and it is so sad that something like that had to happen to someone so young and full of life.  this goes to show you to never take your kids for granite and to always give them that extra hug and say i love you. you never know when it will be your last.  i am so sorry. i just couldnt see myself get over something like that.  you are alot braver than i am. and i honor you for that. you will always be in my heart and in my prayers.  if you want you can visit my 2 year old at www.freewebs.com/connorwyatt

I have just been reading about Mikey. I can't imagine losing a child. I'm an adult with Dermatomyositis. I suffer everyday and I can't imagine a child having this awful disease. I cry myself sometimes and when I read about Mikey I cried thinking about a sweet little baby boy having this disease. I'm glad you are raising awareness about DM and I pray that a cure is found. I pray this everyday. I know the government proabably doesn't put alot of $ for researching rare diseases so I'm glad to see that you are trying to raise it for the children because if you find a cure for them it will in turn more than likely help me. It would be so nice to see this whole disease wiped out!!!   I know its been a while since Mikey died but I will still pray for you and your family. Please pray for me also. Sometimes I don't know how much more of this I can stand...
